Mirrors

What do you see when you look in a mirror? Mirrors offer us an image. Is this a true image of you? No it's distorted. If nothing else it's a reverse image. We need to be more accepting of who we are. And not just believe the image we see. Do you accept yourself? It is what is is...Just love it.

Never close your lips where you've opened your heart. We need to be willing to tell people how we feel about ourselves as well as about them. No one what you need if you don't tell them. Teach others how you want to be treated. Communicate your expectations.

It's OK to ask for help. If you don't you are not using all of your strength. Focus on your accomplishments. When you ask how are you different there is a short list. When you ask how you are alike the list is longer.

Another mirror analogy: Think about a rear view mirror. What do you see when you look in it? History. In fact you can drive for a short distance just looking in the mirror. But only until there is a change in the road ahead. Inside the car is the present. If you focus on just the present you are not aware of what is going on outside the car. again you could end up in trouble. The windshield represents the future. When we drive we focus most of our time on the future. So when someone asks you who are you you might think to say...I'm the person I will still become.
